Kyzylorda region is one of the historical centers of the Great Silk Way. The tourist center «Syr Elim» organizes tourist trips on this route. The route includes historical places of the cities Sauran and Shyganak, archeological monuments and mausoleums of Sunak Ata, Aikozha Ishan, Karasopy, Okshy Ata, Dosball be, Esabyz, the mosque Aktas, the memorial complex of Korkyt Ata and a well-known cosmodrome Baikonur which is famous over the world.
There are 543 monuments in Kyzylorda region 495 of them are of great value as historical and religious monuments.

The regional management of tourism and sport and other tourist companies took part in the Berlin International Tourist Stock Exchange and the International Tourist Fair in Almaty, The advertising information production was brought out as booklets and collections for the development of tourism in our oblast. Tourism from Italy, Germany, Japan, France, Korea started to visit our region after its distribution in the world tourist fairs. During the summer vacation the authorities of the tourist companies «Sayahat» and «Korkyt Tur» organized trips to Turkestan for schoolchildren to develop their interest in tourism.
